Best Places for A Winter Stag Do

With summer and the warmer months becoming a distant memory far too quickly we’ve got Winter to look forward to! A popular time for weddings, with many opting for an Winter setting for the usual beautiful setting, it’s cold but not too cold so here in the UK so provides an excellent season. But we’re looking at where’s the best places for a stag do, looking out for all the fellas! With the idea of a beach holiday or weekend an unlikely idea, we’ve looked at other hotspot ideas for a stag weekend.

Always a popular destination for stag do’s and rightly so. A lively and relatively inexpensive night out, with plenty of options for places to go, depending on how drunk you are and what time of night it is. There are some world-renowned clubs in Manchester, which should feature in any must do stag do list:

  • The Liars Club – Bridge Street
  • The Miltons Club – Deans Gate
  • Bijou – Deans Gate
  • Bierkeller – The Printworks

Aside from drinking there are plenty of other attractions, which could provide a great way to spend the days, such as a tour of old Trafford, we know it might not be for everyone but it’s a pretty impressive stadium. Other attractions we would recommend are visiting one of Manchester’s escape rooms, in particular Manchester Breakout; apparently all the range lately it’s up to a group of you to solve clues and breakout of the room before the time runs out, of course there are plenty of distractions.

Regarded as the ‘Stag Capital of the World’, so was obviously going to make our list! Known around the world for its cheap, but yet great beer, you can get a pint for as little as 75p, in the right places. Steeped in rich architecture it is easily one of the most beautiful cities on the planet, with plenty to do! We’ve found some of the most popular places to drink while you’re there:

  • Black Angel’s Bar
  • James Dean Bar
  • Letná Beer Garden
  • Karlovy Lázně – Europe’s largest club, which covers five floors and includes it’s own ice-bar

Aside from only have stuff to do on a night Prague offers up some beautiful views and must see’s while you’re there. Check out the famous John Lennon Wall, Prague Castle and Prague Beer Museum during the day, between stops to the old-world pubs.
Travel: Around £100 a return flight from major airports.
Average Temperature: 4-5°C, but it has been known to drop to way below that.
Budapest lies in the heart of old world europe, with its gothic architecture and abundance of ancient bars and cheap beer, which is why many flock to it yearly. the upbeat atmosphere mixed in with relaxing tones provides one of the perfect settings for an autumn stag do, the weather is cooling off and there is a lot of interesting stuff to do, eat and drink. There’s a few bars that you need to check out:

  • Szimpla Kert – One of Budapest’s famous ‘ruin pubs’
  • A38 – A three story boat turned nightclub on the Danube.
  • Instant – The mother of all ruin bars in the city, boasting 23 room, six bars all across four floors.

Budapest also has loads to fill the hungover days with, take a trip to the Central Market Hall for some food, or a visit to the Thermal Baths is perfect is the cooler autumn air. No matter where you are, you won’t be short of stunning views.

Most probably tops the majority of people places to visit, and with stag parties flooding there yearly it’s a pretty lively place. Famous for a few things, such as the infamous ‘Red Light District’, which is easily a must visit when you’re there. With it being such a condensed city you rarely feel the drop in temperature, also everything is either a tram stop of a bike ride away. We’d recommend riding a bike, purely because it’s one of them things you have to do when in Amsterdam. Aside from the culture, the one thing Amsterdam isn’t lacking is pubs and clubs, so we’ve found some of the best:

  • Proeflokaal Arendsnest – A traditional style Dutch pub, which serves over 300 craft beers.
  • Vesper Bar – Old style cocktail bar in the heart of the city, also offers cocktails workshops.
  • Brouwerij ‘t IJ – A micro-brewery in a windmill

Of course there are plenty of attractions to visit during the day, but being a stag do we hardly doubt you’ll want to visit the Anne Frank Museum! Check out the Heineken Brewery and the House of Bols, both of which are pretty interesting. Oh and of course you’ll get to see Dam square, with the Royal Palace.

Las Vegas
Sin City, the most popular party destination on the planet, and a perfect place for a stag do pretty much! The price of getting there might scare most people off, but it’s somewhere that has to be visited at least once in a lifetime, so why not on a stag do? It offers everything a party of lads will want, a shed load of casinos, bars/clubs, sun, pools and a load of entertainment, obviously enjoyed in moderation of course. Other than it’s world famous hotels and casinos, Vegas has some of the world’s best nightclubs:

  • XS – One of the nightclubs in the famous Wynn hotel. Attracting world-class Dj’s every night of the week.
  • Hakkasan – Set in one of Vegas’s most famous hotels, The MGM.
  • TAO – The Venetian, the club now plays host to Snoop Dogg’s 1920’s style cabaret show.

The days can easily be filled relaxing by the pool, especially in the autumn heat! But if you do fancy taking in the sights we’d recommend going on the rides at the top of the Stratosphere or catching a show at the MGM or Caesars Palace.
